With it being just 12 days until I am home, I have been reminiscing on the past 8 1/2 months. It’s been amazing. I’ve met some incredible people who love the Lord with their whole heart. I have seen some crazy, unimaginable miracles take place right before my eyes, some miracles a lot of people will never have the opportunity to experience. I have learned from others and from the Lord, received visions and dreams of things unexpectedly. But with all of these thoughts comes fear. Fear of misunderstanding. Fear of feeling alone at home. The biggest fear of all is receiving this very question- “how was the race?”
I know it doesn’t seem like a big fear. How could a question be a fear? Here is my thought- How in the world am I supposed to sum up the most radical 9 months of my life within one really broad question? Do you want a 30 second answer, a 5 minute answer, or an hour answer? Quite honestly, the fear of you asking just to be polite scares me. Then again, you haven’t been with me for the past 9 months. Maybe you don’t even know where all I’ve been, or that it was even a mission trip, or are clueless about what to ask. So, that’s the easiest question to ask. I get it. Therefore, if you don’t know what to ask, this blog is for you. If you have an idea, or know exactly what to ask, read over them anyways!
